Water For Elephants Review

Title: Water for Elephants
Author: Sara Gruen
Book Summery: Jacob, a young vet college study leaves town. Hops a train later to find this wasnt any train but The Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth. He gets hired on and work as their vet.

My Take: Amazing!!!! Read this a good 4 years ago opened it up and loved it just as much as I did the first time. Holds something for everyone, love, murder, and a very unexpected hero. The book is written as a man who is in his nineties in a nursing home[estimating at least 5 chapters are the old man] as he remembers his days working on the circus. This book is rich with unexpected turns that are purely delightful. Sucked me right into the time of the circus during the depression and didnt let go till the last turn of the last page.
Perhaps im so hooked because I adore elephants, But there's no way it is that, the book is just written beautifully. Must Read.

The Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner Review

Title: The Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner
Author:  Stephenie Meyer
Book description: It's based on the last week of Bree's vampire life. [Assuming you may be a twilight fan im hoping you remember she was the newborn vampire towards the end of eclipse that the Cullens were going to take in and teach the vampire rules to]

Personally if you are a twilight fan I think this is great to pick up. It shows you a whole other side from the golden eyed vampires we all know and adore. It shows how the red vampires are, how they live, and how Victoria had been planning the whole attack on the Cullens. How the newborns had been how horribly they worked together and so on and so forth. The neat thing is you see how Bree communicated with Edward to tell him what was going on through her thoughts.
I was totally shocked about the Volturi but did add a great twist and worked so well with the story line through Eclipse. And it doesnt have actual chapter. Literally one long story.

All in all I found this to be an enjoyable read even though no it didnt go with the series per say. But it does give you insight on the other side of Stephenie Meyers imagination of the "red" vampires.

The Clockwork Three Review

Title: The clockwork Three
Author: Matthew J. Kirby
Summary: Giuseppe is an orphaned street musician who sees no way to escape from his ruthless master, until the day he finds an enchanted green violin.
Frederick is an apprentice clockmaker with a past he cannot remember, who secretly works to build the most magnificent clockwork man the world has ever seen.
Hannah is a maid in a grand hotel, whose life is one of endless drudgery, until she encounters a mystifying new guest and learns of a hidden treasure.
As mysterious circumstances bring them together, the lives of these three children soon interlock, like the turning gears of a clock, and they realize that each one holds the key to the others’ puzzles. The trio’s adventures sweep them through the winding alleyways and glittering plazas of their city, and along the way Giuseppe, Hannah, and Frederick must learn to trust in one another — and in themselves — for they risk losing the things they hold most dear, as the dangers they face quickly become all too real.

Review:
This book holds so much magic, no not the kind with witches and wizards. But it gives you such a happy feeling, a feeling of hope. Three children from different backgrounds come together to create this story with hope, suspense, bravery, intelligence and leave you wanting more.

It took me a couple chapters to get into the book but once I was in I devoured it. The characters come to life in an American city at the turn of the century. From young to old and all in between I think this story is a winner. The words the author has chosen paint a inspiring picture. It may be considered fast paced to some but I found it was a good read that kept me from wanting to put it down.

A story of three children who all want to be free. Giuseppe is a street musician who is owned by his master, He gives very little to the children he owns but expects so much out of them. Giuseppe dreams of the days he can return to Italy to be with his siblings. Frederick is a young clockmaker apprentice who works very hard to build a journeyman. His great mechanic skills were discovered while he once lived in an orphanage, rescued by the clockmaker himself.  Hannah is a young lady who has quit school to be her families provider as a maid in a grand hotel. As she hunts for treasure she finds her self in trouble. These three find each other and help each other to become free.
