Castor Chronicles
By: Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
Synopsis of Beautiful Creatures book 1
Lena Duchannes is unlike anyone the small Southern town of Gatlin has ever seen, and she's struggling to conceal her power, and a curse that has haunted her family for generations. But even within the overgrown gardens, murky swamps and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden forever.

Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin, is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When Lena moves into the town's oldest and most infamous plantation, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her and determined to uncover the connection between them.

In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.

Review:
First, Love those covers! I enjoyed this series. Yes wasnt the best written, story wasnt as solid as it could have been, world building wasnt great and yes Lena was kinda annoying and whiny. Really though if you were Lena, a teenage witch, and you got the news she got would you be all sunshine and happy? No most likely not. Looking back at the teen years, well we all tended to be dramatic over little silly things. Her stuff is way more serious. There were parts of these books where I was sitting there going Uhh wait what and had to re read. Some of it just didnt make sense. But I did enjoy it. Definitely wouldnt be on my must read list but I did like the world and the characters.. most the time.
